Riding the momentum of his sensational hit “Mobsters” with Detroit’s Sada Baby, Compton’s top prospect YS is back with his new single “Da Real Me” and an accompanying visual. He’s giving listeners a window inside his world, filled with danger, dark thoughts, and the faint smell of gunpowder in the distance. The Ron-Ron produced smash provokes YS to be at his most brash, spewing his most devious thoughts.

The young Compton emcee caught the eye of Shoreline Mafia’s manager Jeremiah “Picaso” Aubert after YS viral hit “Bompton”. So much so he proceeded to A&R his whole next project and paired him with Ron-Ron to create “Street Icon”. When asked why he chose to YS and what separated him from the pack he stated,

He was a fresh face and a new perspective from his section. Humble, listens and has multiple styles he’s working out. I like the fact he’s under 21 with an older mindset it comes across in his music. You can hear his hunger in his music and his pain.”
