More about Rican da Menace:

A bold, bright, and bossed-up rapper, Rican Da Menace exudes confidence, charisma, and control with icy-cold flows and bars you’ll want to repost. Despite her lyrical dominance and undeniable energy, the Baltimore rapper delivered a simmering, slick one-two punch with a series of 2023 singles. After building an audience of hundreds of thousands on social media and signing with BuVision Records and Columbia Records, Rican is clearly a force to be reckoned with in todays music.

As a child, she lived with her mother in Baltimore, while intermittently visiting her father and four other siblings in Pennsylvania. In high school, she stole a nail kit from the grocery store and started doing her friends’ nails in the basement. Her own hustle cost her $10 a pop.

During this time, she listened to artists such as Foxy Brown, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Baby. As a result of these favorites, she posted some freestyles on social media, gaining a following. On February 27, 2021, she got shot. She suffered gunshot wounds in her hand, leg, and arm and spent two weeks in the hospital. She even recorded videos of herself rapping in bandages.

Founder of BuVision and iconic music executive Abou “Bu” Thiam heard Rican’s music and signed her. Now, she introduces herself with “Ain’t Going Back” and her latest single “I Admit It.”
