OnlineCrates: How did you link with Tech N9ne?
I’ve known Tech for a long time. I grew up in a neighborhood that was his stomping grounds at the time in Kansas City. 56th n Highland. First time I ever met Tech he was riding in Big Scoob Suburban and he told me and my homies to get out of the street! We were playing ball & didn’t want to stop the game! We used to try to make cars wait a second if we could!
Why is Strange Music so strange?
Because there is no label or artist like us. Strange and unusual music.
What does JL stand for?
It’s really just my name what people call me. My biological name is Jason Michael… J to the L. I used to try to make it mean a whole bunch of different things when I was really young it was J lyric. At one point Jus Listen. Just Legendary. Now it’s just JL.
What is the title of your upcoming project?
DIBKIS – which stands for Do It Big, Keep It Strange. This album is the definition of that.
Whats the best part of tour life with Tech N9ne?
The Die hard fans. People come to see this dude! Large crowds of people who love real raw rap. If you got it they gon let you know.. and if you don’t they are really gonna let you know!
