Following the latest release for album ‘Last Night in Houston’ (March 2023), San Antonio based rapper Wes Denzel shares a DIY-style music video for hit single “Some Know”.
The bouncy ode to Houston showcases Wes’ charismatic flow and witty rhymes paired with a grassroots style music video describing the artist breaking out of his shell and finally feeling comfortable in his own skin. Throughout the visual the confidence in Wes starts to build and reaches a point of complete certainty and determination.
“Some Know is really about myself coming out of my shell and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Throughout the song I show confidence on how only some would know the level of confidence I’m experiencing and also naming a lot of places and things only some people may know about. If you know you know!”
The rapper, songwriter and producer was recently featured in Billboard’s Fresh Picks for breakthrough R&B/Hip Hop artists. Wes has also opened for world-renowned artists such as, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, as well as selected as a featured artist for SXSW, gracing stages throughout Central Texas. In February 2021, following the release of his studio album ‘I Was Almost Happy,’ Wes Denzel was named KUTX Artist of the Month.
