He’s one half of the Black Keys and he’s also a hell of an engineer, you should check for his work on one of our favorites Cage the Elephant’s last album. With his solo material Dan veers away from the traditional rocky bluesy sounding tracks of the Black Keys and goes for a more upbeat, lighter sounding track.
Fans of the Keys may be judgmental on this one, as they should, but artists should be able create whatever they want. I can’t help but think of the Beatles or some Paul McCartney, “Uncle Albert”/ 70’s all in together singing stuff with this one. F*ck it just check out the joint below:
